Social media is a great way of getting involved in the Blood Cancer Awareness Month and spreading the word! Here’s what you can do to help us during September.

To mark Blood Cancer Awareness Month this September we’re raising awareness of the signs and symptoms of blood cancer. Our president Simon Thomas will also be taking on 30 days of challenges to raise awareness of signs and symptoms of blood cancer, and to raise money for Bloodwise.

Change your banners on Facebook and Twitter

You can download our Facebook and Twitter banners and upload them on to your social media channels to raise awareness of signs and symptoms of blood cancer.

Blood cancer symptoms

As you’ll know by now, it’s crucial that blood cancer symptoms aren’t cryptic. In case you weren’t sure, here’s our list of common blood cancer symptoms:

  • unexplained bruising or bleeding
  • unexplained weight loss
  • lumps or swellings
  • drenching night sweats
  • persistent, recurrent or severe infections
  • unexplained fever (38°C or above)
  • unexplained rash or itchy skin
  • bone, joint or abdominal pain
  • tiredness that doesn’t improve with rest or sleep
  • breathlessness
  • unusually pale complexion
