Scottish Cross-Party Group on Cancer

10 Aug 2015

The Scottish Cross-Party Group on Cancer identifies where inequalities exist in the provision of cancer care and campaigns for improvements.

The Scottish Cross-Party Group on Cancer was set up to act as a channel of communications between the Scottish Parliament and people and organisations working in cancer research, treatment, care and prevention.

It provides opportunities for MSPs to learn about the latest Scottish and international cancer research; cancer care needs and services; and the views of both parents and carers.

It also examines areas of policy or service provision, including both the allocation and the effective use of resources where there may be inequalities of practice or standards of care, while making representations for effective and timely actions.
