Ben Reinhardt of South Cheshire Branch has completed a 12 hour 'tennis-athon' in support of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research last weekend at Wistaston Jubilee Tennis Club. He completed it with his tennis partner Tony Mason who supports Marie Curie Cancer Care. The money raised will be split 50/50 between the two charities. Tony and Ben played the full 12 hours with others playing against them during the day. Congratulations Ben and Tony on your fantastic fund-raising efforts on Saturday 29th June 2013.

Ben said; "It went really well despite my face getting sunburnt! A big thank you to the helpers, players, spectators and donators who supported the day. It really was much appreciated as every penny helps in the work that the two charities do in saving lives and helping those affected by these illnesses." You can listen to the Radio Interview that took place during their event here:
The event is done bi-annually 2009, 2011 and this year was the third in 2013. In 2010 they did the Sandstone Trail Walk (34 miles in one day) and 2012 they did the cross country cycle ride (138 miles in a day and a half).
Ben is a great supporter for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research and loves to do great challenges for us. This year he is also doing his '60 at 60' challenge on Sunday 21st July 2013. He will swim 60 lengths, cycle 60k and run for 60 minutes for his 60th Birthday raising vital funds to help beat blood cancers. Go Ben! To see his webpage, please click here.
