Getting 50 collection tubs out in the commnuity was always going to be a challenge but we did it and 50 days later we found the new challenge of collecting them all in and doing 50 lots of counting but as ever it was worth all the hard work and effort but in by so many! I am thrilled by the repsonse and the support of the public having raised a total of £511.73! The 50 collections tubs for 50 days was part of our Big £50K Campaign which we launched earlier in the year as our fundraising total is appraoching the £50,000 milestone! The total raised from the tubs has now brought us to just £4,501 away from the £50,000 milestone! The campaign has also seen Winterton Brownies raise £50 by collecting coppers. Plans from Burton Primary School plan to hold a non uniform day charging 50p and a 50p cake sale in July, branch supporters Chris Hutson and Garry Thompson pledging to complete a skydive challenge, along with our branch hosting a sponsored walk in August encourging walkers to collect £50 in sponosrship, and Winterton Infants School also planning to support the campaign.
On behalf of the branch I would like to say a huge thank you to all of the businesses and organisations that took one of our tubs for 50 days and to everyone that has donated we are truly grateful! We look forward to some more exciting £50K campaign events over the summer!
