On 27th January 2014, Dan Howie and Will North arrived in Antigua after 53 days, 9 hours and 30 minutes of rowing across the Atlantic Ocean, in The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge.
They came FIRST in the pairs category, and we are extremely proud of their incredible achievement, and grateful for the staggering amount of money they have raised.
The race is renowned as one of the toughest endurance races on Earth - more people have climbed Everest or travelled to space than rowed across the Atlantic.
Whilst on this epic journey they experienced sleep deprivation, severe weight loss, sharks, 50ft waves, physical pain and psychological exhaustion, as they rowed around the clock in 2-hour shifts for the entirety of the race.
The race started on the island of La Gomera in the Canary Islands and finished 2,933 miles away in English Harbour, Antigua. Dan and Will are undertook this gruelling challenge in order to raise in excess of £200,000 for three charities, including Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
