Autumn and winter isn't a great time for cycling, wet roads slippery leaves, patches of ice all make two skinny wheels very unstable. In October I took to the roads on the Big G Reunion Help for Heroes sportive, 60km around the surprisingly hilly raods of the Yorkshire Wolds, if you've never cycled around here you really should, the roads are so quiet and perfect for cycling with challenging hills, twisty descents and some great cafe's for the all important cake stop. I tried to use my bike as much as possible for commuting, and also fitted in the Movember keep it growing sportive, in early November, there's a bit of a theme developing for my main cycling events, they all seem to be for charities. Theough the winter months it's been the dreaded turbo trainer and occasional commutes although now the sun is shining a little more it might be time to start doing some more road rides. I've joined one of my local cycling clubs so will have to join one of their Sunday runs. There a couple of pictures attached of the two sportives I did towards the end of last year and I'm now finalising my programme for this year with the main target being Paris in September.
