The Childhood Leukaemia Cell Bank is an exciting new initiative to help improve treatments and find cures for children with leukaemia.

The cell bank is the first project to be set up at UK Biocentre in Manchester, a cutting-edge facility for the collection, storage and processing of cells and DNA for vital research.

With generous support from Children with Cancer, Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research has invested £490,502 to collect cells and DNA from children with leuakemia entered into the latest clinical trial, as well as consolidating samples that already exist at storage sites around the UK. This invaluable resource will be used by our researchers to continue improving treatments and diagnosis for these young patients.
