The first Big Welsh Classic Car Show in Margam Park is taking place on Sunday 20 September and with over 700 cars registered for the event it's looking like it's going to be a fun filled day!

After an overwhelming respone to the Big Welsh Classic Car Show, the Welsh office are looking forward to the very first event to be held in Margam Park. Taking place on Sunday 20 September, the car show will see over 700 cars exhibited across the day, from Austins to Morgans, Classic Fords and Stags - there's something for everyone.

But the day isn't all about the cars, there will be other fun things taking place including the Rockwood Dog Display Team in the main arena, a funfair, watersports on the lake and Swing Easy will be playing music alongside The Wave and Swansea Sound who are our radio partners for 2015.

Keith Dewhurst from Cardiff is a member of a number of classic car clubs and a Committee Member of the Welsh Section of the Rolls Royce Enthusiasts’ Club.

Keith said: This new show at Margam Park will be a terrific event with all the added excitement of visiting a new location, which by all accounts should be a fantastic venue for those who enjoy the spectacle of classic vehicles and for those who appreciate a beautiful and interesting location.

For my own part I love to see a wide variety of vehicles on display, both in the club stands and individually. I enjoy having the time to catch up with old friends, some of whom I only get to have a good chat with at the show! I also greatly enjoy the auto jumble and general carnival feel with events such as the dog show being one of my favourites. This is a really good day out and I recommend it to anyone with even the mildest interested in our motoring history.”

Tickets start from just £5 and you can buy them on the gate or online now.  Why not bring along a picnic and the whole family and enjoy a lovely day out whilst raising funds for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research?

We hope to see you there!
