In May, we held five events around the country to provide a chance for our supporters to hear about recent developments in blood cancer, engage with researchers, health professionals, Bloodwise staff and other supporters, and to hear about the important work Bloodwise is doing. To find out more about our Impact Day events, Ben Sykes, Development Manager at Bloodwise, has written a blog about Impact South West, which can be found here.
We would like to say thank you to Professor Christine Harrison, Professor Mhairi Copland, Professor Paul Moss and Professor Nick Cross who took part in the Impact events and helped make them such a success. We would like to extend a special thank you to Professor Emma Morris who, in addition to taking part in the Impact London & South East event, also presented at the staff Impact Day last week
We would like to say thank you and congratulations to UCL-scientist Rachael Nimmo, who completed the Blenheim triathalon in May for Bloodwise. Rachael has written a blog about her triathalon journey, which can be read here.
The third annual Birmingham Bikeathon took place this weekend and we would like to extend a huge thank you and well done to the team of researchers at the University of Birmingham: Angelo Agathanggelou, Pamela Kearns, Marco Saponaro, Martin Higgs, Rachel Jones, Ulrich Günther, Paul Murray and Clive Stubbs, who took part in the 100 mile challenge. They also featured in the Birmingham Mail.
Details of all Bloodwise upcoming events and challenges can be found here. If you would like any further information please contact the research team and do let us know if you will be taking part in any upcoming events.
