Ambassador pilot run

Last month we invited Ambassadors Ann Bromley, Erica Farmer and Paul Carless to our latest Staff Induction Day to find out whether it was something that would be worth offering to Ambassadors interested in finding out more about who we are and what we do.

Here's what they said:

"Thank you for inviting me to the Induction meeting on Friday and to say how much I enjoyed it.  I would also say it is well worth inviting Ambassadors in the future.  It was good to be part of the Bloodwise team from the inside, rather than being on the outside.  All the sessions were excellent but I particularly found Matt's session interesting as it is so important to know how the research in blood cancer is progressing and how and where the funding is used.

"I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed the Induction Day Friday, it felt really good to feel part of the Bloodwise family and see some many lovely new and existing Bloodwise people again.

What really struck me is the change the organisation has undertaken in the last 5 years, away from the focus on funding Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research, as in the name, to a more rounded approach of funding blood cancer research and also supporting people with all the 137 blood cancers, their families and friends in many  ways. I feel Bloodwise is now an organisation in the 21st century." - Erica

Next Steps

In light of Paul, Erica and Ann's feedback we've decided to include the opportunity to attend one of our Staff Induction Days as part of the Ambassador Programme. Attendance is completely voluntary will be on a first come, first served basis although we'll look to include as many of you as we possibly can in each session. We have capacity for 20.

The induction sessions will be held at our Head Office in London and will run from 10 am through to 3 pm. Refreshments will be provided throughout and there'll also an opportunity for you to talk to others during the lunch break between 12 and 1pm

I'm mindful that for many of you this is a long way to come so we're looking to film October's Induction Day to give others the opportunity to get a feel for one of our Staff Induction Daysn and find out more about how we operate and where we're going as an organisation.

The next induction is on 6th October. To register your interest do contact me directly at and I'll send on more details of the day and make sure you're added to the attendee list.
