Those in need of considerably bigger buns are in luck, as the Calendar Girls unveil a tasty way to fundraise.

Appearing at a special afternoon tea the ladies, who share culinary secrets in their latest calendar, are calling upon people to choose a tasty way to support blood cancer charity Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.

There’s no sign of a shop-bought Victoria Sponge at the afternoon tea, organised by City Inn Leeds, to launch the new calendar and a delicious fundraising campaign. The Calendar Girls are calling upon people to celebrate the 50th birthday of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research by organising their own Un-Birthday fundraising tea parties.

Calendar Girl Angela Baker says “Everyone knows how important a good cake is and we’re happy to let you into our baking secrets. Please buy a calendar and get baking – why not organise a special Un-Birthday fundraising tea party? Every penny raised will help Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research help families affected by leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.”
