Cocktail lovers can help beat blood cancers as they enjoy a drink at Manchester’s City Inn. The hotel has teamed up with Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, launching a limited edition cocktail to help celebrate our 50th birthday.

The special cocktail was launched at a Celebration Evening on 2 September at City Inn Manchester. Celebrities, local fundraisers, researchers and patients came together to enjoy canapés and hear researchers speak about the charity’s key achievements over the last five decades of blood cancer research.

Emmerdale’s Tony Audenshaw played ‘barman’, officially launching the Forget Me Not Fizz. The limited edition beverage includes raspberries, citrus vodka, lime and ginger beer for fizz. During the next month, customers at the bar at City Inn Manchester can order a Forget Me Not Fizz and 50p will be donated to Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research to mark our 50th birthday.

Emmerdale's Tony Audenshaw says "We all had a fantastic time at the Celebration Evening. Treat yourself to a Forget Me Not Fizz and raise a glass to 50 years of life-saving work by Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research! It has to be an easiest way to fundraise I can think of!"

Celebrate with a Forget Me Not Fizz!

The Forget Me Not Fizz is available at City Inn Manchester throughout September. 50p from each cocktail sold will go towards our lifesaving research, so why not pop in and treat yourself.
