Olympic champion Dani King is Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research’s cycling ambassador.
The cyclist, who's a London 2012 Team Pursuit Gold medallist, was awarded an MBE for her services to cycling in 2013. In her role as our ambassador she has been encouraging the public to take part in our cycling events including the London Bikeathon and London | Paris: Be Unstoppable.
On her appointment in July 2013, Dani said: “Cycling has always been a passion of mine. This time last year I was winning Olympic Gold in the Velodrome, and now I’m delighted to become cycling ambassador for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research. The charity is leading the fight against blood cancer and I am thrilled to be a part of it.”
Dani participated in her first cycling event as our cycling ambassador when she joined our sports team, The Unstoppables, to ride in the 2013 Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100.
