Well done to Claire Fletcher and family from Albrighton, Wolverhampton who have raised an amazing £10,078.00. They held a Dinner Dance at The Red House, Albrighton in November, with live music and a glittering array of 40 auction and raffle prizes that included an overnight stay at the Ritz, Diamond Earrings, a signed Man United Photo and signed Wolves Shirt.
Claire wanted to raise money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research to mark the 20th year since her brother John-Henry Thompson sadly passed away from Acute Myeloid Leukaemia aged 23. Among the 240 guests attending, many were past friends of John-Henry and other members of the local community all coming out to support this family.
Claire said, ‘I am amazed by the support and generosity that I have received locally. It is so lovely to see so many of my brother’s friends at the event, and to mark the occasion in such a positive way. I’m so pleased that we have been able to raise some money to help others in the future’.
