Did you know that you can now raise money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research when scrapping your old car?
We have teamed up with two not-for-profit organisations, Giveacar and the Car Donation Network, to allow you to give the entire profits from your scrap car to Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
The services organise the free collection and recycling of any car or vehicle, anywhere in the UK. Cars are either disposed of, and the value of the scrap metal donated, or placed into an auction, and the sale price donated.
This means that even your old and useless car can now help us to beat blood cancers!
S. Holmes, who gave a Toyota Avensis on Giveacar said: “I was made aware of the possibility of donating an old car by a friend who had recently done the same thing when upgrading her old car. It is such a great/easy way of raising some much needed funds for charity. I sadly lost my Mum to leukaemia last July, aged 80, but she had been diagnosed with chronic leukaemia 11 years ago. She battled with acute myeloid leukaemia for just over a year, and endured 3 aggressive doses of chemotherapy, but in the end the disease took her. Of course my choice of charity was an easy one to make, and hopefully Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research will continue to do the great work they do in the hope that one day a complete cure will be found.”
