Entries are now open for the Holy Island Forget Me Not Walk!
Come and join North Northumberland Fundraising Group on their annual Forget Me Not Walk.
Nestled on the coast of North East England, Holy Island is undoubtebly the jewel in the crown of Northumbria.
Locally referred to by its Anglo-Saxon name of 'Lindisfarne' the island boasts a wealth of medieval religious heritage and more than its fair share of quiet beaches and unique natural history.
In AD365 Holy Island was one of the principle centres of Christianity and was later home to the famous St. Cuthbert. Miles of unspoilt countryside are a haven for nature-lovers alike.
So what better reason to put your best foot forward than taking in the spectacular sights and sounds of Holy Island?
The popular Holy Island Forget Me Not Walk is a 5 mile circular walk suitable for families, taking in stunning views including Lindisfarne Castle, the harbour and the picturesque village of Holy Island. However please note that the route is not suitable for buggies.
