Over the coming months there are numerous events that you can get involved in - either by taking part or volunteering. Keep reading to find out more...

2015 is going to be a fantastic year for events in Wales. Not only do we have the brand new venue for The Big Welsh Classic Car Show, but we also have Bikeathons taking place in north and south Wales, the return of the Small Change Big Impact campaign for September, a zip slide in Newport and a Winter Walk on the cards - it's all very exciting in the Wales office!

This year sees the very first Velothon Wales taking place and we've been lucky enough to be one of the chosen charities for the event with over 500 cyclists taking part raising funds for us. If you'd like to help by cheering on our cyclists do let us know, we need as many supporters as possible to cheer them along the 50km or 140km route.

In July we have nearly 30 people registered for our very first zip slide from the Transporter Bridge in Newport. If you'd like to join the team and take part on 4 July then you can find out more information and sign up here.

The extremely successful and ever growing North Wales Coast Bikeathon is once again taking place from Prestatyn to Abergele and this year, they hope to welcome their 1500th rider. This year, our Cardiff Branch will be hosting a brand new Cardiff Bikeathon where you can cycle along the Taff Trail.

As you may be aware, September is Blood Cancer Awareness month, and this year our fundraising campaign Small Change Big Impact will see activities taking place across the UK to raise funds and awareness. If you can spare an hour or two then please get in touch and see how your small change WILL make a big impact for blood cancer patients.

The Big Welsh Classic Car Show is going to be one of our biggest events in 2015. So far, we have over 200 classic cars registered - so if you'd like to exhibit yours and you've not registered yet, then do so now to take advantage of the early bird registration.

If the London Marathon inspired you to get your trainers on last month, then why not sign up for the Cardiff Half Marathon - we still have a few Gold Bond places, or if you're already signed up but would like to run for us - let us know and we can organise a lovely running vest and fundraising pack.

And lastly, we are in the process of organising a winter walk for those of you who like to get wrapped up and outdoors. Details are being finalised, so keep your eyes peeled for more details in the near future...
