On Halloween the Sunday Mail Centenary Fund are holding 'One Big Fancy Dress Friday' where for just a £1 donation, people will be able  to go to work, school or university in fancy dress.

To show our support we'll all be coming to work in fancy dress and we'd love for you to do the same!

To take part all you need to do is make a £1 donation to help us beat blood cancer by texting SMCF14 £1 to 70070 and send us a picture of you in your fancy dress costume on our Facebook page or by emailing me at

We'll include all entries in our special 'Freaky Friday' gallery which we'll be running alongside our usual #FeelAlive campaign.

You can also take part in the fun on twitter. Send your photos to our @beatbloodcancer twitter handle using the hashtag #Halloselfie.

Last year the Sunday Mail Centenary Fund held a Onesie Day which raised £30,000 for good causes including Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research and we are delighted to be one of the 17 charities that they are supporting again in their quest to raise a £1 million for good causes in this their centenary year.

If you're struggling for costume ideas, here are some of our favourite costumes from when we dressed up in the office for Halloween last year:

More details about One Big Fancy Dress Friday and the other charities taking part are available on the Sunday Mail Centenary Fund website.
