A great evening of local talent to help beat blood cancer!

There were always high expectations ahead of this year’s fashion show following on from last year’s amazing show. We were determined to make it bigger and better and raise more money to help beat blood cancer. This year taking to the catwalk we had collections from Sue Hoodless Lar De Darr Millinery and Special Occasionwear, John Leggott College Textiles Students, Isn't She Lovely, and KMR Bespoke Bridal Designer, all showcasing beautiful garments. The stage had been decorated by Winterton Florist Josephine from Floral Designs which really made the hall look fantastic.

The show was hugely successful with all the models doing a fantastic job - it really was worth the 48 hours of setting up which couldn't have been done without the support of Buttons Wood Winterton and our fundraising team! We had brilliant entertainment from our very own Rob Wilson, and Samantha Lyann - Hair Stylist & Makeup Artist did a great job with the models hair and make-up! During the interval we held a mini wedding fayre of local suppliers which was fantastic. It was a great chance for local businesses to showcase their work and support our event.

A packed out hall at Winterton Community Academy saw the hugely successful event raise £1,007.59 to help beat blood cancers. We'd like to thank the school for again allowing us the use of their fantastic facilities, and to all the other businesses as listed above that made the event possible.
