The festive season and the New Year bring great opportunities to plan and host new fundraising events and can prove a great opportunity to chat to your friends and family about your plans for 2015.

2014 has been an amazing year for fundraising in the Midlands. There have been some outstanding events held by our supporters and many innovative and unique ideas to help us raise valuable funds. We have had a ‘bear on a bike’, a team of skydivers and Acres bakers with their delicious cakes to mention but a few.

Festive fun with friends

Why not plan your festive get together as a big charity night in? Organise a wine and cheese tasting events, swishing fashion event where you swap unwanted clothes or even a girls or boys night in. Provide the entertainment, food, film or activity and ask your friends to donate the money they would have spent on an evening out.

Themed treasure hunt

Searching and finding clues for your very own treasure hunt challenges both children and adults and makes a perfect family event! Your treasure hunt can take place inside or out and could be themed around your local area, favourite film or even around Christmas. It’s a great way to bring people together and raise money for our charity.

Dances

If you’re thinking about events for next summer, why not consider hosting a barn dance or war time dance? They’re great fun and your friends and family would have a great time partying with you. You can hold this sort of event at a whole host of different types of venues, so get creative!
