The first Boogie Nights

Our first Boogie Nights event in partnership with Winterton Rangers was a huge success.

As part of our commitment to be an integral part of the community and support the community of Winterton whilst raising funds for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research we formed a six month partnership with Winterton Rangers FC at a time when the community is keen to support the club. On Saturday 4th October we held our first Boogie Nights event in partnership with Winterton Rangers FC. The evening was the first of five Boogie Nights event in our six month partnership that will run on the first Saturday of the month until March, excluding January. At just £2 entry over 120 people turned up for a cheap night out full of 70's and 80's disco classics that filled the dance floor to 'boogiers' who enjoyed the original Vinyl records from top local Dj Steve Thompson.

We are thrilled to be working closely with Mel and her team at Winterton Rangers who are committed to making the monthly event a huge success and supporting our branch. If the nights are a success this is something that we will look to continue to run in the future, whether it be the same theme or a different one this is something we will be reviewing this at the start of 2015 and looking at how we can develop our partnership.

The event raised £351.39 and we very much luck forward to the next Boogie Nights on Saturday 1st November when we hope to see the monthy event flurish as word continues to spread. Doors open at 8.00pm with 70's and 80's disco classics playing until midnight.

Another great idea, Danny!

Judging by the photo it looks like a good night was had by all! It also makes me smile to think that that sign went out clubbing! Did it make it back in one piece? :)

Pleased you like the idea Andy, the photo card makes it round lots of events and keep on surviving well! Great for awareness as the photos fly around Facebook when people are tagging and sharing!
