Just over a week has passed since Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research Head Office threw on their red fleeces and Unstoppable running tops, grabbed balloons, flags and a plastic reindeer head, and let their inner dancer loose for the LLR Harlem Shake.
We sailed past our Pledgeit target of 3,000 views within a week of posting the video up, meaning all the money pledged was released and given straight to Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research to help us beat blood cancer.
And that’s not all. Our Harlem Shake has not only raised funds for research into blood cancer, but also awareness of the disease and the charity here in the UK through the media and tweets from the likes of Alastair Campbell. News of our Shake even reached as far as Australasia.
So if you watched, shared or pledged in support of the LLR Harlem Shake – thank you. We’re delighted with the positive response it has generated, and we hope we’ve shown you the lengths we’ll go to beat blood cancer – even if it involves donning a gold Elvis suit, putting a bucket on your head, and dancing like you’ve never danced before...
