Fundraising Ideas for the Festive Period

Here are some fundraising ideas for over Christmas and the New Year.

The South West has enjoyed a really busy year with many fundraisers organising their own events and activities. I thought it would be a great idea to share some ideas of my own, to give some inspiration for anyone thinking of organising their own event over the festive period.

A murder mystery evening

Stuck for ideas for your New Year’s Eve party? How about hosting a murder mystery evening? Prepare for a night of super-sleuthing, examining evidence, interviewing suspects and exploring motives. Themes can range from 1920’s gangster to ‘murder on the dance floor’!

Sponsored zumbathon

The zumbathon craze is still in full swing, so appeal to fitness fanatics in your area to embark on a non-stop zumbathon. You could ask an instructor to donate their time and skills in return for advertising their classes.

Car boot sale

A car boot sale can provide a great opportunity to have an early spring clean and clear out your cupboards, loft or garage. You could also ask your family and friends to see if they would like to donate items to sell.

Top fundraising ideas, Stuart.

The murder mystery sounds like a lot of fun and is something that a lot of people are doing to liven up dinner parties. I went to one for New Year's Eve last year which was great fun but I was the only one who didn't get who the murderer was which made me feel a little bit daft!
