Four Heamato-Oncology Nurses Shared Learning Conferences to be held across the UK over 2017/18 based on the success of the recent conference at the National Gallery in London!

In March 2017, Bloodwise held the very first Haemato-oncology Nurses Shared Learning Conference at the National Gallery in London with speakers on various topics and lots of time for the delegates to network with each other and with Bloodwise team members. The day focussed on self-care and communication within teams and with patients and sought to give nurses the chance to share best practice with each other in a relaxed and interactive environment.

“It was excellent. As an experienced practitioner I have got use to attending study days with perhaps only one or two sessions of interest to me. It was so good to find a study day with every session relevant. Clinical nurse specialists need more of these sorts of days. It was also brilliant that it was free”

The day was a great success with 100% of delegates stating in the post course evaluation that they would attend another conference of this kind and that they would encourage colleagues to attend. Bloodwise want to provide as many opportunities for haemato-oncology nurses to connect with each other as possible, and so, due to the success of this first conference, we are now planning to run four more similar conferences over the course of 2017/18 in various locations across the UK:

Where will the conferences be held?

The conferences will be held in Nottingham and Bath in October 2017, and then in Manchester in February 2018, and again in London in March 2018.

What will the conferences involve?

The conferences will consist of a full day of speakers on various topics surrounding self-care and communication, with several breaks and a lunch, as well as the opportunity to stay at the end to network and share learning over refreshments.

When will the conferences be?

The dates for the conferences are undecided. There will be an update in the Haemato-oncology Nurses Bulletin each month and flyers will be sent out as soon as they are available.

Who do I contact if I would like more information?
