Having had a quiet week on the cycling front with just a nice gentle  2 hour Sunday ride with a mate who is riding the 5o mile Bikeathon. I decided to go big on my midweek ride especially as my climbing has been crap. I went up Box Hill from the Walton On The Hill Side so rode down the famous Zig Zag. Keeping the cadance high and the gears low really helped me to get up the hills and I resisted the temptation to try and blast hills out the saddle like Big Maggie Backsted or the God of Thunder Thor Hushoff. This paid off as I had plenty of energy to deal with the traffic on the way back. Planning on going up Leith Hill and Ranmore Common at the weekend so I will really test my legs.

Sounds like you're still right on track, Gareth - impressed with your determination!
