Last Friday I attended an event at the Ramada Hotel in Wolverhampton, in aid of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research our charity and Delete Blood Cancer.
The event run by Samrick Singh Bahia was an amazing evening filled with live music, entertainment, an extremely successful auction and raffle and had over 520 guests.
Sam is currently an undergraduate at Worcester University studying Business and IT and a very keen rugby player. On 21st January of this year Sam was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL). He is currently undergoing Chemotherapy at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
But nothing stops Sam, he decided that even though he is undergoing treatment he wanted to make a difference and support our charity in beating blood cancer. He teamed up with Snob Events and Media XY to organise this spectacular evening that put a capital G back into Glamour!
Sam and his team raised an amazing £32,000 in one evening. Which is being split between our two charities. Not only was it extremely successful in raising so much money, but Sam's courage also touched so many of the guests, and that they have pledged further involvement and support of our work.
Sam has been a real inspiration, not just to me but a whole community!
