HOW WRONG CAN THEY BE !!

All us cyclist are forever checking the weather and there I was Friday night and again Sat morning checking the conditions before my ride on Sat morning, myself and 3 friends Juan, Tony and Garth were about to ride 60 miles.

There was a slight mention of a small shower but that was it.!!! and my friends heard /read  the same report.  We must have encountered between 10/12 heavy downpours and on one occasion it was like sleet. I guess I didn't help matters when I took my Gillett off, it rained, put it back on and it stopped. (You get the moral of the story !!!) and trying to fasten a Gillett in strong wind and rain isn't much fun!! but onwards and upwards. We did our route ( with the odd deviation Tony, blaming his nav !!).

I've got a bike fit this Sat with PAUL MILL OF ELITE CYCLING BASED AT CRYSTAL PALACE ( HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) So it's a Sunday ride for me. See how that turns out. !

Thanks for the updated David! You can never ever predict the weather unfortunately and no matter how hard the Met Office tries they never get it 100% right. Sounds like it was a bit of an adventure though and full respect for seeing it through despite the downpours. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Andy, much appreciated. It helps when you know what you're trying to achieve to help the cause. Thanks.

You're welcome David. Have a great ride this weekend if you're heading out and all the best with the rest of your training. Rest assured that it'll be worth it and every pound you raise will make an enormous difference to the lives of blood cancer patients. I for one wouldn't still be here today without the research that LLR have funded.
