Well done to the Wirral Bikeathon committee for hosting another fantastic Wirral Bikeathon for Bloodwise, the new name for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research. This was the 18th year of the Wirral Bikeathon and is one of our largest regional events.
The Deputy Mayor of Wirral started the ride in the company of Chris Boardman, our local Patron, who encouraged the entrants on their way through Arrowe Country Park towards Caldy, the Wirral Way and the first 14 mile section of the 28 mile route. Back at Arrowe Country Park, in the start, mid-point and finish area, riders were treated to cold drinks or hot refreshments thanks to the Red Room Cafe while enjoying the lively music of the Peninsula Jazzmen and the Ukulele band.
We hope you had a fantastic day!
