As you all know, I like to stay active. Whether it’s going for a run or climbing a peak in Snowdonia.
Since I caught the running bug in 2010, I have completed three half marathons and three 10Ks (one was a Wolf Run). I’ve decided to swap two feet for two wheels and take part in the Birmingham Bikeathon. I’ll be cycling 26 miles, around the best city in the world (no bias, of course!) to raise money for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. This will be the furthest I’ve cycled and in order to get me through, I’ve upgraded my 15-year-old mountain bike to a hybrid.
Now to the important part... I’m asking if you could please sponsor me for this event. We all know sponsorship not only raises money for good causes but also keeps motivation going. If any of you have taken part in an event, you’ll be well aware of how difficult training can be both physically and mentally. Knowing friends and family have faith that you can complete the goal certainly helps and I will definitely need it (most likely after the first mile)!
Thank you for reading and donating!
