And with it undergoing the biggest cycling task I've ever undertaken, (considering this is the fifth bikeathon I've taken part in)

In the last few weeks I've really been amping up my training and whereas yesteryear would see me somewhat struggling with Pier Hill (one of the most steepest hills within Southend) now its more or less a doddle, just crack her from 6th into 5th and its fine.

Busy main roads are much less of a concern for me also, motorists are good to me and thus Karma is returned.

It used to be that when I started off (years previous) 2 - 3 miles would be that which I achieved, this year I'm averaging over ten miles per training ride and this along with proper food and an unwavering tenacity will see me ready to tackle 54 miles in a few weeks time - all in aid for leukaemia and lymphome research and of course in memory of my Mum <3
