Starting training in Week 2 after several weeks off the bike has left me with some catching up to do, especially with Debbie and Tien really racking up the miles this week! The competitive side of the team is starting to show, which is great because it spurs us all on to ride more.
I'm happy with my progress for this week, starting off with a 10 mile ride and working up to 21 miles on the third ride. My plan is to steadily increase the miles, with at least a 30 mile ride in Week 3.
Since I bought a mountain bike with no real intention of spending so much time on roads, I'm thinking of getting a set of slick tyres to switch to - hopefully this will increase efficiency and help me keep up with Debbie!
