We’re so grateful to everyone doing their own fundraising in their local communities, and we’ve got some great supporters here in the South East. This month we’re highlighting the lovely Jayne Archer!
Jayne sadly lost her husband, Mark, to Mantle Cell Lymphoma back in 2010. The couple were married for only 18 months before Mark passed away.
Jayne has spent the last few years setting up the Mark Henry Archer Tribute Fund and raising over £7,000 already. She says “I spend a lot of my time working on events to promote Mark’s tribute fund to raise awareness and funds so, one day, in my lifetime, no one will have their heart shattered and their life destroyed by losing someone so precious to blood cancer.”
Jayne has made it her to mission to raise £50,000 by the time she’s 50 – she has 6 years left to do this and we’re all really confident she’ll do it. The events that raise money for the Tribute Fund have been brilliant – there’s a Paws to Beat Blood Cancer dog walk every year in her local area of Crawley, a quiz, a Big Red Tea Party, golf days, and this June she’ll be conquering her fear of heights by climbing the O2 with 24 friends!
We’re so grateful to Jayne and everyone involved in raising money to beat blood cancers in Mark’s memory.
