Join our nurse Facebook group

We are delighted to announce that we have created a Facebook group for the haemato-oncology nursing community. This is a closed group and is a safe space to share thoughts and ideas, discuss best practices, pose questions – nursing or otherwise – to a wider group, and become part of the wider nursing community.

At the end of 2015 we sent out a survey to nurses in our network in order to gain further insight into the support needs of nurses and what Bloodwise can do to help meet those needs. 80% of the respondents said they were interested in networking to share best practice. Alongside that, one of the key aims of the Bloodwise Nursing Advisory Panel is to facilitate space for conversation, networking and sharing best practice to help make a more unified voice for haemato-oncology nursing. This Facebook group is a first step towards meeting those needs.

This is your space to have conversations that will be useful for you, but we'll also be posting some regular features:

1. Research Roundup - we'll share information about the latest research and updates about our Trials Acceleration Programme. We'd also love to share updates from you about trials you've encountered or been a part of.

2. Have Your Say - this will be an ongoing series where we'll post a question that has been submitted by a member of the group for discussion. If you've got any burning questions, let us know and we'll get them put to the group.

3. Made My Week - this will be a weekly feature to share and celebrate something that has made your week. Whether a patient made you smile, a colleague went above and beyond, or there is anything else you'd like to share - let's add a little extra positivity to a Friday!

Although members of the Patient Experience team will facilitate the group, it will be very much your group. We encourage you to join, invite your colleagues, and get the conversation started.
