Yesterday, I was told that the bone marrow i had yesterday was to be my last. A good sign?

Hello.

Yesterday I went for my half yearly check at the Marsden in Sutton and I'm pleased to say my blood results came back ok. My consultant, Bronwen Shaw, told me that after the bone marrow yesterday, there will be no need to have any more. As anyone who has had one will know it hurts just a little. On one hand, it's a good sign that the docs feel that I dont need anymore, but on the other hand It was a bone marrow aspirite that picked up my relapse in 2009 in it's early stages so was easy to treat. It's one of those things that does worry me a little bit-having that reassuring (albeit a tad painful ) test to give me the feeling of security that my team is watching over me. I'm now down to a blood test in July this year, then in December. After that it's annually as I'm 5 years post transplant this December.  Onwards and upwards.
