Last night saw the much-anticipated return of Laugh for Leukaemia. In its third year it had another stellar line-up and was another huge success.
Gracing the stage this year Daniel Kitson returned as MC, and we had event co-founder Nick Mohammed and sketch group Sheeps, who both received four star reviews for their recent Edinburgh Festival shows. Joining the line-up we had brilliant new stand-up Rhys James, whose debut show Rhys James Begins received great critical acclaim at this year's Edinburgh Festival. Brendan Patricks delighted the crowds with his magic tricks and Ray Peacock told us some hilarious stories that had everyone in stitches. And topping the bill we had everyone's favourite Geordie comedian, BAFTA nominee Sarah Millican. All the acts were outstanding and we're so grateful to them all for giving their time for free.
It was another fantastic evening. A huge thank you to organisers Steph Moore and Nick Mohammed for putting on the show year on year. Last night raised over £6,250 so this brings the total over the 3 years to an incredible £18,000.
