A new venue, a new name, a new event for 2015!

On Wednesday 6th of May 2015, myself and Rachael Davies headed off to Margam Country Park to meet with local company Historic Endurance Rallying Organisation, or HERO for short, to launch The Big Welsh Classic Car Show.

The event is a brand new addition to our portfolio and will hopefully be as successful as it's predecessor, The Gwent Vintage Car Rally, which over 34 years, raised over £860,000 by our Gwent Branch.

Margam Park is a great venue, not only is a lovely setting, but it has the space and the accessibility from the M4 for most people to come along and enjoy.

So far we have nearly 250 classic vehicles registered for the event, but we'd like to reach 500 - so if you have a classic vehicle (pre-2000) that you'd like to exhibit, then do sign up soon as the early bird entry finishes on the 1st of July.

Not only will we have classic cars for you to enjoy, but there will also be the Rockwood Dog Display Team, trade and auto jumble stands, food and drink stalls as well as watersports on the lake and music throughout the day.

Last week, HERO provided us with a 1958 Jaguar XK150 and a 1966 Triumph TR4A which both Rachael and I had the hard time modelling around - they defintiely upstaged us!

For more information please visit our website where you can also register your vehicle.
