Hi Team!

In the build up to the London Marathon, some tips on long-distance training:

  • don’t forget you need a minimum of 12-16 weeks training programme in the build up to a marathon
  • build up slowly to your long runs and run your last long run three weeks prior to race; this way you do not carry your training into the race
  • never wear a new pair of shoes or sportswear for the first time in the race. Also, run a few sessions/runs in the running shoes and the running apparel you plan to race in prior to the big day.
