London Marathon Countdown

There are just six weeks to go until our team of Unstoppable runners hit the streets of the capital for the Virgin London Marathon 2013.

For some this will be a first attempt at the challenge of 26 miles, others will be looking to improve their time whilst some will be clocking up another lap on the famous course. No matter the situation everyone involved would agree, from the anticipation at Blackheath through to celebrations on The Mall, it is a special day.

Of course, for those taking part the 26 miles are the final leg of a long journey. All the training, dedication and planning in the build up is finally rewarded. The spectators don’t see your quick eight miles a cold Wednesday night, the girl in Woolwich who cheers your name didn’t have to turn down a night out last week and the good looking guy in Docklands who caught your eye probably hasn’t seen the state of your blistered toes.

Well we want to celebrate the effort it takes, the sacrifices you make and the miles you endure. Over the next six weeks we’ll collate your images and showcase the journey to Buckingham Palace, not just from Greenwich Park but all the way from your front door.

Our marathon page here will be a gallery of images. We want to show your trainers drying out, another pasta dinner, the medals from your warm up event, your motivation for running not to mention the yellow vest in action on the 21st. Be as creative as you like.

We know time is precious during the build up so we’ve made it as easy as possible. Simply email us your shots or tag a message on twitter or Instagram with #UnstoppableVLM and we’ll upload them to the site, leaving you free to sort out those blistered toes.
