Maisie Rose was just a toddler when she was diagnosed with leukaemia and began intensive treatment at London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital. Maisie’s depleted immune system has left her vulnerable to problems like shingles and chicken pox but she is doing well and finished her treatment in October last year.
Proud Dad Mathew says: “We’re just trying to move on and put the past behind us. Maisie’s treatment was extremely tough - the steroids really affected her personality but she’s like a different child these days – she has got so much personality and she just makes us all laugh.
“She absolutely loved taking part in the M&S campaign, playing with the other kids and having her hair and make-up done. She’s a natural model and it is so important to us to give something back – I really hope people will be encouraged to buy their kids a new pair of pjs and support this important cause.”
