The Rugby Mini Military Mud Run returns on Saturday 11th July – and it’s all for kids! Taking place at Boughton Road Field, Rugby, the race is designed especially for 4-16 year olds who are challenged to take on the 2k, 5k or 9k obstacle race.
The event which is the brain child of supporter George Boulden, has once again enlisted the support and expertise of Gavin Daniels and the team from Military Fitness Circuits to stage the event. The course includes obstacles such as clambering over hay bales, water slides, river crossings, tunnels and of course plenty of mud for the children to enjoy. The team are not known for designing smaller, easier courses for children, but simply down size the adult ones!
The last event, which took place in April, saw 1,500 participants take to the course and £1,700 raised in support of blood cancer research.
Hoping to raise as much money as possible for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research once again, the event costs £15 per child to enter and includes a finisher’s medal and certificate. Parents are welcome to join their children as they take on the mud run as there is no entry fee for adults, but they are asked to make a small donation to the charity.
