Well today I went out and did just a tad over 34 miles, cycling to Walton onThames and back. On the way I stopped at the ice cream stand by Hampton Cout Bridge (Palace side) and this lovely looking woman cyclist came up and asked me if I'm doing the ride on the 31st (I was wearing my llr cycling top) Turns out she is doing the 52 miler too. Her name sounded something like Shakara. We had a nice chat about the charity etc then said our goodbyes.
The training continues apace with a total of almost 134 miles completed since my last post on here.
This comes after an epic week in which I have been busy doing stuff for my llr bash next Friday 22nd August, then yesterday I wastaking part in a meet at LLR towers to discuss the possibility of rebranding the charity following an invite from Cathy the boss of llr.
So it's been a week filled with llr related stuff, but boy does it feel great too be a part of something that not only saved my life but that of countless other blood cancer survivours. I wouldnt have it any other way.
