It's one week to go now until the longest cycle ride of my life!
Over the past few months I've been building up my fitness and increasing the miles as much as possible on my regular weekend rides. I've also entered a number of cycle sportives - normally about 63 miles (or 100km) in length. The Birmingham Bikeathon will be, by far, my longest ever ride. My previous maximum is 69 miles.
Thankfully, my bike is in good working order after having to replace a number of worn components in the past week.
I'm riding in memory of my dear aunt, Margaret Tromans, who passed away ten years ago from a different form of cancer.
I'd be very grateful if would would sponsor my venture in support of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
