We are delighted to announce that our eLearning course has been shortlisted for a Nursing Times Award in the Cancer Nursing Category!

We are delighted to announce that the Bloodwise eLearning course Introduction to Haemato-oncology Nursing has been shortlisted for a Nursing Times Award in the Cancer Nursing Category!

The Nursing Times Awards are “the most respected and relevant awards in the nursing and healthcare sector” and will mean our hard work on this project will be recognised. We were told that this year judges had an extremely tough time scoring and have commended the high quality of entries- so we are incredibly proud even to be shortlisted!

Our pilot found that after three months, nurses who completed eLearning course reported increased confidence and significant improvements in basic haematology concepts, identifying common complications and knowing how to respond, and understanding their role in emotional support and signposting. You can read more information about the course and pilot in my previous blog.

We will be presenting a case for why we deserve to win the award at Nursing times HQ on September 11, and winners will be announced on November 2, 2017…wish us luck!!
