Olympic gold medallists Greg Rutherford and Dani King hit the phones this week at brokerage firm BGC Partners, helping raise money for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
BGC’s annual charity day took place on September 11th, to commemorate the 658 employees lost in the attacks on the World Trade Center. All revenues received from trades on the day go to more than 100 charities around the world, with a team of celebrities on hand to seal the deal.
LLR has been one of BGC’s nominated charities in London for the past 5 years. Along with our Olympic heroes, LLR’s team of celebrities included Gary Lineker, England rugby coaches Andy Farrell and Graham Rowntree, and our own Geoff Thomas and Alastair Campbell.
The charity day raised over $12m globally. A huge thank you to BGC for inviting us once again to be part of such an amazing day, and of course to our celebrity supporters, some of whom left considering a potential career change!
