While most of us were eating our Christmas dinner, trying to find something half-decent to watch on TV, Dan Howie and Will North were rowing. Swapping every two hours so the other can get some sleep, Dan and Will have been rowing for 29 days. They are now at the halfway point of their epic journey across the Atlantic in the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge - a race to row across the Altantic Ocean.
With over £72,000 raised for their three charities, including Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, and currently 6th in the race, we could not be more proud of Dan and Will as they battle 10ft sharks and 20ft waves capsizing them in the night. Today they've made it into the Southern Daily Echo newspaper. Read the full story here.
They've still got a way to go but at a current speed of 2.5 knots, they are expected to arrive at the finish in Antigua at the end of January. Their fundraising target is £200,000; visit virginmoneygiving.com/team/AtlanticRow2013 to show your support.
