Welcome to the latest edition of the Supporter Engagement Team’s Our Stories blog series. So far we have shared some truly inspirational tales from patients and supporters. The feedback has been brilliant and highlights the hard work Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research still needs to do.

Our blog this month comes from Debbie Logan. Having read our previous stories, Debbie felt inspired to get in touch and share with us the emotional tale of her son Alex’s blood cancer diagnosis. Read Alex's story here.

Alex was your average 3 year old - happy and full of life. But he suddenly began complaining of aching legs and discomfort. His mum Debbie immediately took him to see the Doctor with her concerns and after his condition deteriorated, he was admitted to hospital. Test results confirmed the news Alex had Leukaemia. Despite his condition and the many infections he has fought, Alex has remained upbeat and even got to meet Prince Harry at the WellChild awards last year.

Around the time of publishing the blog, Alex’s mum Debbie has let us know that unfortunately he was back in hospital. Our thoughts are with Alex and his family at this difficult time.
