February 2014 sees a very special Karting event return in memory of a lost friend. In the Autumn of 2011, a motorsport-mad 37 year old man from Staffordshire lost an 18 month battle with a rare form of leukaemia. That man was Paul Lee-Davis.
February 2nd 2014 will see the running of the 3rd Annual Paul Lee-Davis Memorial Kart Race held at Whilton Mill, Daventry. After successful running’s in 2012 & 2013, which raised over £6000 for various charities, the event returns with a new format but with the same aim of having fun while raising money for the chosen charity – Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
The event starts at 9:30am with a compulsory briefing and group photo with racing commencing at 10:30am. The format will comprise of 3x 7 Lap sprints plus a 15 Lap final. To promote fun and fair racing, any penalties/warnings incurred will be accompanied by small fines to raise further funds.
Take your place on the grid alongside some quick (and some not so quick) competition! Spaces are limited, so if you would like to take part and contribute to this great cause.
To enter, contact Dan Underhill (Event Organiser - Email: firstname.lastname@example.org - Tel: 07515941699) for ways to pay the £70 fee.
Entry is only accepted once an additional donation is made to Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research http://www.justgiving.com/PLD2014
