Phillips 66 Limited, Humber Refinery have donated £3,000 to our branch to help beat blood cancer.
Having achieved 80 days accident free the Humber Refinery team had the opportunity to nominate a charity of their choice to receive a donation. Our nomination came from Colin Donaghy from the Laboratory Work Group. Colin's daughter Caitlin is among sixteen young people on our Local Youth Development Program which encouraged Colin to nominate our charity.
Hannah Dunkerley, Branch Secretary was joined by Colin and Caitlin when she visited the Humber Refinery to receive the donation.
We are tremendously grateful to the Phillips 66 Limited and the team at the Humber Refinery.
We also have to give special thanks to Colin for nominating us to receive the donation. £3,000 will help make a huge impact to improve the lives of the 38,000 people diagnosed with blood cancer in the UK every year, and will make a significant contribution towards our £100,000 milestone target by the end of 2017.
