On 1 February 2014, 100 of Britain’s top swimmers came together to smash a world record and raise money for blood cancer charity Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research. The event was organised by Team GB swimmer Lewis Coleman, after his mum was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2012.

We were poolside, speaking to the swimmers as they came out of the water to find out what the day meant to them. See what they had to say by watching the video on the left.

The swimmers featured in the video are:

Jazz Carlin
Michael Jamieson
Becky Adlington
David Hailey
Ellie Faulkner
Steve Parry
Teddy Pender
Caitlin McClatchey
Hannah Miley

There's still time to support the unstoppable Swim4Leukaemia relay team. To make a donation online, please visit Lewis' JustGiving page.

You can find out more about Lewis' family by reading his mum's story on his blog.

So nice to hear so many positive comments about an amazing day. Special thanks to Teddy and David for a great fundraising effort and it was amazing that David had come all the way from Singapore to support his friend and our charity.
