Here it goes...

Welcome welcome!

Thank you so much for visiting my page!

Right then, the back story..

My name is John and just over a year ago my family received news that would shortly change our lives as we knew it.

My grandad was diagnosed with leukaemia in January 2014 and shortly lost his battle 27th of March the same year.

It was a shock how quickly it all came about and still a year on the family are still feeling the aftermath of losing such a great man who was full of love and laughs.

So, this is where I.. and hopefully you come in.

My uncle, and late grandad's son partook in a few triathlons and an epic 100mile bike ride in birmingham to raise money for the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research charity with huge success.

I wish to do my part in raising money and awareness for this charity as it was only until after we lost the big man that i realised taht they were there all along behind the scenes helping out my grandad and others who suffer this terrible illness.

Here's the plan... I'm going to run a series of Half marathons over the next 6 months with a view to complete a full marathon in October.

It's a big ask and I'm sure there are going to be hard time but when you can raise money for a good cause and riase awareness, why the hell not!

I'll post regular updates and photos of the runs i have completed as well as the ups and downs of training and chalenges!

So watch this space and hope you can do what you can to support me and this great charity. To find out more about what they do and how you can help please visit.

all the best with your half marathons, il definately keep an eye out and donate!.

Looks good John, will join you for a half marathon. We can discuss in Devon soon.......bring your running kit

Thank you so much for getting in touch. I think what you're doing in support of your late grandfather is fantastic and a really fitting tribute. What half marathons have you signed up for and what's the big marathon you're running in October?

We're behind you every step of the way and have a running group on Facebook for all our runners where we'll be sharing tips and advice which we'd love for you to join. It's also a great place for you to engage with other runners. Here's the link if you're interested:
